On June 4, 2000 Kachess Ridge Fire District #9 merged with Kittitas County Fire District #6.  The merged district is known as Kittitas County Fire District #8 (KCFD #8).  Pursuant to terms of the merger, the OUTDOOR BURNING POLICY for KCFD #3 is as follows:

KITTITAS COUNTY F-FRE DISTRICT #8 OUTDOOR BURNING POLICY

1.For properties located within Section, 17, Township 21 11.  Range 13 E. , W. , situated in Kittitas County, State of Washington, commonly known as Kachess Village, no outdoor burning is allowed

2.For properties located within Section 7, Township 21 N. , Range 13 E. , W.M. , situated in Kittitas County, State of Washington, commonly known as Kachess Ridge, burning can be allowed in accordance with ECFD #8's burning permit policy.

A copy of the Burning permit Policy is enclosed.  Please note that burning permits are required for all types of outdoor burning, including campfires.

Contact KCFD #8 Fire Chief, Monty Moore, with questions, comment,-, or to obtain permission to conduct outdoor burning.
